Is Commissioner Dan Curry the only one trying to hold Somali Scott Brannon accountable?

In January, we started shining a light on Scott Brannon, the Walton County employee who was recently arrested on a domestic violence charge. He is the director of governmental coordination and based on building access and computer sign-in logs, it is quite clear that he is committing time card fraud and stealing money from the taxpayers.

We presented the evidence in numerous articles that can be read here.

Suffice to say, Brannon rarely enters a county building, rarely logs into his county computer, and sent only 29 emails over a 14-month period — and none of those emails appeared to be substantive in nature.

To date, we are only aware of one Walton County commissioner who has expressed any concern about Somali Scott Brannon’s “no work, no show” job.

This week we learned that Commissioner Dan Curry sent an email to County Administrator Brian Kellenberger in early February. That email contained a link to one of my Facebook posts and this website.

Here are the screenshots of that email exchange:

Curry writes:

“This needs to be addressed in my opinion. I am being called on this as well as the records being displayed on social media. Have you put anything in place to address these issues and concerns?”

And then he linked to an article on ExposeWalton.com.

Kellenberger responded with the following:

Kellenberger states he met with Brannon in December of 2025. Now, we do not know when in December, but I we submitted a public information request for the access and sign in logs in mid-December. It would be interesting to know if this meeting took place before or after that request.

So far — it appears that Commissioner Curry is the only commissioner who has made any effort to hold Scott Brannon accountable and to protect taxpayers from being defrauded. To our knowledge, no other commissioner has made any public statement and we are unaware of any internal communications between Kellenberger and any other commissioners regarding Brannon.

Conversely, Commissioner Danny Glidewell appears to be the only commissioner that has publicly expressed support and praise for Scott Brannon. On March 13th, Glidewell posted a video that sang Brannon’s praises while referring to this author as an “evil liar” and a “dog.”

I took the liberty of pulling out his comments about Brannon and posting a rebuttal video here:

It would be wonderful if the three remaining commissioners publicly stated their position on Scott Brannon’s attendance, lack of work product, oh — and his domestic violence arrest.

Feel free to reach out to Commissioners Tony Anderson, Brad Drake, and Donna Johns and ask them.
